My goal is to help you feel well again if you have been ill or assist in optimizing your
vitality and longevity if you are well and want to maintain it and improve upon it.

As an internist and an anti-aging/regenerative physician, my medical practice has evolved over many years. I combine a wide variety of healing disciplines depending on your medical needs. I deal with common medical problems as well as ones that are more complex. I have seen a very broad spectrum of medical conditions over the years from working as an Emergency room physician, hospital affiliated Internist at New York Presbyterian Hospital and in private practice. This background has taught me to diagnose and understand illness. My many years studying nutritional therapies, herbs, mind-body medicine and spiritual healing has further enabled me not only to treat illness more naturally, but also educated me about optimal wellness and prevention, which is my ultimate goal for my patients. The science of nutritional medicine is now quite advanced and I emphasize this aspect in my approach to treatment.

After a detailed whole person oriented medical history and physical exam, I utilize a full array of laboratory testing to determine the kind of imbalances you might have, your basic level of wellness, and then design a healing or wellness and longevity program with you.

Labs that I commonly use:
• Blood work both routine from regular labs such as Quest or Labcorp and Functional/Nutritional testing from labs such as Genova Diagnostics, Meridian Valley, Doctor’s Data and Diagnostechs.

• Urine tests both brief and extensive to evaluate hormonal levels and metabolism, heavy metal toxicity, brain neurotransmitters and common urinary infections.

• Saliva Tests for Adrenal rhythm and function.

• Stool Collections for Comprehensive Digestive Analysis that diagnoses healthy and unhealthy bacteria, parasites, candida, digestive enzyme capacity, inflammation, and other markers of digestive function.

• EKG for routine heart evaluation and arrhythmias.

• Radiology imaging such as routine x-rays, Ultrasound, CT scans, cutting edge MRI scanning and thermography. One of the best things about modern medicine is the extraordinary technology for diagnosis.

• Genetic testing to assist in optimizing liver detoxification capacity and to assist in treating anxiety and depression syndromes. This type of testing helps me personalize the type of nutrients that are unique to your genetic predispositions.

• IV nutrient therapy for fatigue syndromes, recovery from viral infections, detoxification, restoration after excessive stress, post-op recovery and on occasion as an adjunct to chemotherapy for patients with cancer.

Symptoms involving digestion, abdominal pains, metabolism, cardiovascular health, hypertension, routine infections, allergies, lack of vitality, moodiness, cognitive changes, insomnia, menopause, sexual health, thyroid imbalances, adrenal dysfunction and weight gain are the type of problems I most commonly see. A wide variety of changes are associated with the various “pauses” of aging, and I greatly enjoy helping others diminish and postpone those symptoms.

Treatment is integrative which means I use a combination of conventional, natural and holistic/alternative remedies that include:

• Dietary and nutritional counseling
• Medications when necessary
• Nutrients of all kinds, personalized when possible depending on the context
• Bioidentical Hormone therapy for almost all glandular imbalances and restoration of normal function
• Amino Acid targeted therapy for brain balance
• Herbs both as treatment of acute infections and for rejuvenation
• IV nutrient therapy for fatigue syndromes, recovery from viral infections, detoxification, restoration after   excessive stress and on occasion as an adjunct to chemotherapy for patients with cancer.
